Social studies include every aspect of the knowledge about society. The subject focuses to know about society and human life. They especially emphasize the conflicts and controversies which have in society. Human beings need to know every problem which has in society to built and change a better society. The children who study social science can critically think about society's culture and other customs.

 

All human beings who live in societies are bound with social interaction. No one can live without interact with others. Social interactions are natural of human beings. The many research says that it will have a problem in the life of the people if they grew in a society in which there are no interactions. Many researchers practiced and proofed with true experiments. People get so much information through interaction with several peoples. Different information will get different people's interactions. The child who grew around the parents and surrounding people will know so many things which they need to know for further life by the people who have behind them. As language is an exact example of it. When we study how children study the language is they can talk and grasp the words and sentences with the interaction of the parents and siblings. Through all the interactions and conversations they can know many things for their life. In school time, they also study get so much information and knowledge because of the interactions. 

The humans’ other nature is, they are living with the group. When they are living with interactions, naturally they will have different groups. Family is one example of a group. We all have a family. Majority of the people in the world live with the family. Family is an institution of society. It is one kind of group. When we look into society we can see several groups around us. Even when we look into our class and school there are so many groups. The gang system which many children forming a circle for their friends and put a name for a special group. That is a common thing in a school. That is a common example for the society need a group for their survival. There are different kinds of groups in society. Some groups are creating temporary goals and purposes. But something had fixed and deeply affected society. 

The people are not productions of the society but they are creating the society. We said that society is a bond with several groups for different purposes. But some of the groups would lead to oppressing and conflicts between the members. The different groups based on different religions and different groups based on different caste. And some of the groups for the gender discriminating. And some of the group of the economical status. The oppressions between the groups came under this created group. 

Many controversies which exist in society happened by the practice of the existing groups. If we look at history, how the caste system started in society, we can reach the formation of groups that they formed for their own purposes. How the cast system started in society. Some people who had much wealth and status, they formed one group and they are known as a name. By seeing this some other people who have the status behind that first group created another one group. Through this different form of the different people, someone who has not wealth or status they outed from society and the oppressed by the others.

 

Through these formations of the groups, people started to oppress others. The lower class people get oppressions by the upper caste peoples. Nowadays many problems having because of the caste which exists in India. The problems related to race have been happening in the out of the country. Like America, we can see many conflicts happening because of racism. Like this different countries faced different problems related to these groups which created by the people itself.

 

The discriminations and inequalities are there happening in society because of the formation of different groups. Inequality has in every place in which people exist. Inequality in wealth and inequality in education. It is a very sad thing that, many people are denying their rights because of the inequality which exists in society.

 

The current incidents which happen in our country are relating to this discussed matter. Inequalities still exist in our society. The employees are not getting the same salary. Salary discrimination between gender shows how inequality exists in society. The female’s salaries are the concerns and controversies which exist in the institution. The female employees are not getting the same salary to get men for the same job.

The main positions like chairman and head of the department not going to most of the women. We all know how women’s representations in politics and administrations. The government needs to make a special law for women for their participation in politics and administrations. For the panchayath election, the government allowed 50 percent of reservations for women. Only these allowance women can get more opportunities in public space. The issue of Shabari mala still exists without any solution. Even women get reservations and the government implementing several schemes for them still face inequalities based on their gender. Kerala celebrated the news which a 21-year girl called Arya got Meyar position in the Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala. Why we are more celebrating that news. Few achievements will have to the women. 

The inequality issue faces in the educational field. Every student in India not getting an equal education. The RTE allows space to all children to study without any free. We have to think about the children who live in a remote area such there is no facility to study. And some students who born in poor family background and they are forced to the job. Even the majority of children get primary education the children who are from a low background family are not able to complete higher education because of their economic problems.

Even the government makes a special facility for higher education, it can not use for all children because of the limited seats. We all see how was the equality of the children when our world entered online education. In Kerala, one of the Adivasi child suicide because she has no access to education and depressed by losing all classes. Students don’t get equal educational opportunities because of the online mode.  Key ideas to the teachers to build a better world in which there are no conflicts between the people and there no any problems based on the religion and caste we have to understand everything clearly. Likewise, every new generation needs to understand the situations and movements of society. Educating children is one of the best solutions to this. A better curriculum and pedagogy will help them to solve the problems.

The teachers need to encourage children to reflect on everything. When the children are reflected they will start to think. And the teacher needs to take an effect on the students. Memorizing the information and filling their memories with lots of information doesn’t have a positive effect on the children's life. But they need to reflect with creative pedagogy and they need to affect their life with creative and suitable activities.  Critical pedagogy is very important and suitable for this. Not only students getting a sense of the controversies happening in society but also they will have the idea of how to solve and how to become activists. One of the problems is the people who have interested in the current system of society, do not know how to solve this. Critical pedagogy will help in this field.
